Maxine Davies Joins Allett as HSE & Facilities Officer

Maxine Davies has joined us as our new HSE & Facilities Officer.

''Maxine joined Allett towards the end of August 2022, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Health and Safety role. Since the start Maxine has displayed a very proactive and enthusiastic approach and consequently, she has made significant headway into the H&S activities & improvements, and is now considered  as highly valued and integral member of the business (Andrew Mosedale – QHSE & Improvement Manager)

 

 

 

Let's get to know Maxine a little....

 

Have You Got Any Hobbies?

My hobbies are walking and gardening. When not at work you will find me in the garden or walking my border collie Lady who has just turned one. Every day after work I like to go walking. Living around Cannock Chase and Hednesford I am inundated with places to walk with friends. I spend a lot of time in the garden. I do all my own hanging baskets, garden borders and the lawn using a Allett Classic machine (we do like nice stripes in the grass). I have close family some of which live in Spain who I visit for holidays.

 

Tell us a bit about your working life so far

Most of my working life I have worked in a manufacturing environment as an assembly/production manager. In 2006 I moved into health and safety and spent a lot of time working with BSI to get ISO9001 & 14001 quality and environmental accreditation for four sites within the business. I enjoyed working with the auditors and gained excellent training from BSI which then took me to accreditation for the IATF 16949 automotive standard. Most of my time has been with the automotive background but moving to Allett I have had excellent training in lawn care which is a great interest to me (However Lady my dog can destroy the grass if I let her).    

 

What Does Your Role At Allett Involve?

My role with Allett I’m responsible for health safety and environmental issues which I hope I can be a valuable employee sharing my knowledge and past experiences to assist that the company to be safe and environmentally friendly going forward into 2023. I like to be a team player and look forward to a new challenge within the business I hope I can help the business strive towards the goals they want to achieve.
